Restring
From InquisitionWiki
Syntax
restring <object> <field> <string>
restring <object> extended <add|delete|edit> <keyword>
The restring command is only available to new chars within the new player zone.
The restring command changes the various strings associated with an object. A full list of fields can be viewed by typing restring obj. Sorry, multi-line strings are not yet supported. Restring keyword changes what keywords are used when you want to wear or remove that item. Restring short is the string shown when someone looks at you. Restring long is the string seen when the item is on the ground.
Use common sense when restringing something. This field is logged, and you WILL be asked to justify an item if it is felt that item is questionable. Not only that, but you may get in trouble for something ICly, even if there is no policy concern. Please read sumptuary before deciding on any restrings.
Note: You cannot restring items you are wearing. Remove them, then restring them, then wear them. Also note that you cannot give an item a short string that has more than 59 characters.
NOTE: If someone assisted this helpfile to you, there may be a problem with one or more of your chosen strings, and an imm wasn't around to catch it when you used the command. Please notify an immortal via tell or the personal board if you are unable to solve the problem yourself. One common mistake is phrasing the short string incorrectly. An example string would be a cotton shirt. It should start with an article such as "a" or "an", and not include capitalization (aside from proper nouns).
To add extra descriptions (texts that can be seen when you look <keyword>), use the sytanx: restring <object> extended <add|delete|edit> <keyword>. This will place you into an editor where you can format the text. Color codes are allowed.
