The remember system of The Inquisition allows you to label others with a name of your choosing, keep notes on them, recall information about their description, change the name you've assigned them, and so on, all through the use of a single command.
- remember [target name] as [remembered name] adds someone to your remember list.
- The 'as' is optional. 'remember [target name] as [remembered name]' works as well.
- The [target name] could be any portion of the person's intro as you currently see him/her. For instance, if you see 'a young blue-eyed woman' in the room with you, any of the following should work:
- remember young Raura
- remember blue Raura
- remember woman Raura
- remember [remembered name] rename [new remember name] changes the name of the person in your remembered list.
- If the name is more than one word long, place their entire remembered name, verbatim and in quotes:
- remember 'Alika Freeman' rename Alyka Freeman
- remember [remembered name] [text] adds information about the person to your memo field.
- remember Tobias He owes me 30 silver
- The plus (+) sign in your remember list indicates that you have notes on that person.
- remember [remembered name] recalls the information you entered about that person.
- remember edit [remembered name] allows you to edit the information you entered about that person.
- remember [remembered name] clear removes any notes you have added about a person, but keep their name in your remember list.
- remember [remembered name] delete will remove them entirely from your list.
Some general notes about the remember command:
- The person must be in the room with you if you are adding them to your list for the first time.
- If you haven't seen a person in a long time, their name becomes grey in your remember list. Eventually, that person will be automatically removed.
- It is against policy to remember someone whose identity is concealed by a cloak or mask.
