RPXP
From InquisitionWiki
The code of The Inquisition awards experience points for roleplay. The main factors surrounding gaining XP this way are: - How long you have been in the room - How much you and others are contributing to RP
The code will reward people who do nothing with nothing. So long as you emote with some regularity, you will find yourself gaining RPXP after between 5 and 10 minutes of remaining in a room with other players.
Due to the high potential for abuse of this, the system is not as optimized as it could be. It is our belief that anything gained via RPXP is better than nothing, but we have endeavored to make this as fair as possible.
The original concept of an RPXP algorithm comes from Moment in Tyme, a circleMUD derivative, written by Mattias. RPXP for The Inquisition was written by Robbert.
Due to the addition of actions, thinking, the ability to RP in the astral plane, RPechos, moods and so on, we have changed the way the RPxp algorithm awards players for RP.
You get bonuses for the following, so you can maximize your RPxp awards:
- Thinking
- Setting an action
- RPing in a room with a mood
- Using RPechos if there is someone in the room with you.
- Role-playing with cyans
- Emoting/posing in complete sentences exceeding 5 words.
- Having written desc notes in the last 24 hours.
If you do all of these things in a role-play situation, you will earn the maximum RPxp possible. If you do three of these things at once, you will earn a reasonable amount of role-play experience, and so on.
