Quest Points

Quest Points (QPs) are rewards given by Immortals to players for several reasons, including submission of ideas, bug reports, typos, and IC material. OOC contests also frequently use QPs as prizes. Additionally, players can give QPs to others for good RP (see award).

The quickest and easiest way to earn QPs is to post TI reviews (positive or otherwise) in RPIMud Network, Mudmagic, Mudconnector, and Top Mud Sites. 5 QPs are given per review, to be awarded once the review is posted. It is permissible to copy/paste the same review to all sites.

QPs can be used to purchase immortal favors. As a general rule, no favor should harm another character, and all favors must be ICly reasonable. Samples include:

ITEM QP COST
Purchasing skills, per rank# 1 QP
Loading a prop item+ 1 QP
Loading a functional item+ 3 QP
Restringing an existing item 5 QP
Providing minor, realistic RP assistance* 10 QP
Raising a minor, persistent monument to your character 50 QP
Setting your character with a personal mail header 50 QP
Renaming your character 50 QP
Providing major, realistic RP assistance* 100 QP
Raising a large, persistent monument to your character 200 QP

#Available only in chargen. The xp cost of the skill(s) will be rewarded back to the player as bonus xp by the Imm. Note that you can directly use xp to purchase skills while in chargen (see purchase skill).

*The difference between minor and major assistance is up to the Immortal's discretion.

+Item purchase for QP is available only in chargen, but you can purchase all types of objects, whether they exist in-game or not.

QPs can also be spent on skills while in the newbie area (see purchase skill) and exchanged for XP (see improve).

Players running public events may receive 20 QPs' worth of assistance from the Immortals, whether they have the QP available or no, free of charge.
