The description command allows you to edit one of three descriptions of your character. A description should provide only what another person would reasonably see in a cursory look. Think of some of the better books you've read, and the ways the author has described someone who is being looked at by the narrator, and try to emulate their style.

Common etiquette is to avoid actions or feelings, as these are arbitrary in nature and may not apply at all times. Eye color, hair color, facial features, skin tone, eye setting, scent if applicable, anything PHYSICAL are acceptable. Anything further, mannerisms, background, upbringing, etc should be roleplayed out, not force fed through your description. Note: This means you should not be smirking in your description, nor should you peer at the onlooker, nor should you perform ANY other action in your description. If your character always smirks or grins at people that look at him/her, you should emote every time someone looks at your character.

You are not required to have a description immediately, although it is encouraged. As you progress throughout the game, you will receive up to five warnings that you must have a description soon. These begin when you attain 15, 000 experience points, and continue each 3, 000 experience points until you have reached 30, 000 experience. If you still have no description at that point, you will not earn any further experience.

If you do description swap (or description swap pet [or mount]), you will be able to edit your alternate description without actually swapping to it.

Desc cloak will let you edit the description which will show when you conceal yourself using your cloak. It is different from your swap

Desc notes allows you to add notes about your character that only immortals and you yourself can see. Please read Policy Notes for further information about when you must include notes about your character's activities. Use look self notes or desc notes list to view your own notes.

NOTE: Deformaties and signs of magic in your desc (such as unnaturally colored hair or eyes), are signs of magery and taint. Including anything such as this in your description makes you a target for the Holy Order.
